Some facts

SolidShaderTool is a project of me, Stefan Zingel.

Born on the 29th of February, 1976 in Krefeld (Germany), I spent 13 long years learning at school. After reaching my A-levels, I decided to start an apprenticeship as a bank clerk at the Deutsche Bank AG in Krefeld and Düsseldorf. Though it was very interesting, I figured out that standing behind a counter in a bank was not really my business.

I have been working with several generations of computers since my eleventh birthday and until today, I'm fascinated of the endless possibilities these machines provide. For this reason, I always wanted to make a profession out of my favourite hobby. Fortunately, I heard about a new kind of study course, "multimedia computer science", a mixture of elements of the traditional computer science, communications technology and media design which I started in 1998 at the University of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen.

Since June 2003 I'm allowed to call myself "Diplom-Informatiker (FH)", a degree comparable to "M.S. computer science".
